The GP calls Ben to discuss his test results

The GP calls Ben to discuss his test results.

GP: Ben it’s Dr Black here, how are you today?

Ben: I’m fine thanks Dr Black I presume my results are back in.

GP Yes, Ben they are and everything has come back fine apart from your cholesterol.

Ben: Oh what is it?

GP: The figure was 6.4 and ideally I would like your cholesterol below 5. I will probably have to adjust your cholesterol medication when you come back into see me in a couple of weeks.

Ben: Em about my cholesterol medication. In fact, I’ll be perfectly honest with you, Dr Black, I haven’t been taking any of my medications.

GP: Well that explains your cholesterol result and maybe why your pulse and blood pressure were up at your appointment.

Ben: Am I doing any harm not taking them?

GP: Ben, I don’t want to explain all this over the phone so I think I should get you back in to see the nurse and she can go through your medications and answer all your questions. Come in tomorrow at 10:30 am.

Ben: Ok, Dr Black, thanks for calling me.
