Level of consciousness | a person may be less alert following a stroke and therefore less aware of their need to go to the toilet |
Confusion/disorientation | a person may be unsure of where the toilet is or of the processes involved in going to the toilet |
Perceptual problems | a person may not recognise the toilet as a toilet (black hole & fear of toilet) |
