You hear a shout for help from the day room. You enter the room and see Margaret on the floor.
- You should shout for help and approach Margaret as she may need emergency aid. Check if responsive/conscious level (shake and shout).Do not lose time consulting her notes.
- Then you should check her airway immediately. Do not go and get help as you need to immediately check and ensure that Margaret has a clear airway and is breathing.
- Now check that Margaret is breathing. Look listen & feel for 10 seconds. Do not go and get help at this stage either as you must immediately check that she is breathing.
