- Your ‘visual field’ is not only what you can see when you are looking straight ahead (like the computer screen you are looking at now) but also what you can see out to the side. This is known as your peripheral vision;
- It is important to remember that visual impairments following a stroke are due to damage to the brain and not to the eyes themselves.
