The Visual System

There are 4 main components which make up our visual system:

  1. Eyes – a pair of eyes
  2. Muscular control of the eyes – this allows smooth and coordinated movement of both eyes
  3. Visual pathways – the route that visual information takes from the eyes to the brain
  4. Visual perception – the brain’s interpretation of what the eyes are seeing
