| Receptive Aphasia | a person may not have the ability to understand meaning when asked if they need the toilet |
| Expressive Aphasia | a person may have difficulty expressing their need to go to toilet and be understood |
| Dysarthria | Others may find it difficult to understand what a person who has physical difficulties speaking is saying |
| Visual disturbances | a person who has double vision or a hemianopia will find it difficult to use equipment |
