At the hospital: Outcome 2

2. Discharged home with an outpatient appointment

This may be a possible option if John has been fully assessed by the Doctor and has had a TIA. He may have had the necessary investigations and been commenced on appropriate treatment. His out-patient appointment might be with his GP if all other tests are complete; if not he will need to be seen at a specialist clinic within 4 days.

However, John’s symptoms have not resolved and he needs to be admitted to hospital.
